Some common errors and how to solve them (Q-controller)
1. The machine does not start efter pressing the local start button on the controller display.
- Are there any start inhibits?
- Displayed by a S: error code.
- S:0133 - Air TEMP low INH. Air temperature low start inhibit
- S:3500 - Start inhibit (operator inhibit)
- S:3501 - Start inhibit (enclosure doors)
- S:3601 - No Main MTR VSD COM connection
- How is the 'start source' p10.12 configured?
- To locally start the compressor, it has to be comfigured for 'Keypad' or 'local'
- Are the relay output terminal cables connected correctly and firmly?
- After removing and re-applying terminals, restart the machine.
- Is the connection to the electrical cabinet (and contactors) valid?
2. The machine can not be stopped after pressing the local 'STOP' button.
- Has the limit of 'motor start times per hour' been activated (parameter P11.12 - HI MTR STR HR)?
- If the number
of permissible starts per hour is reached the ‘Off Load Run Time’ is dynamically extended to avoid another
automated start from occurring until the number of starts within the last rolling hour reduces by one.
- Note: this feature will not prevent a motor from being started, only the ‘Off Load Run Time’ is temporarily
modified.
3. Error code 'Main motor overload' E:0082 is displayed
- Is the correct 'main motor rated current' configured?
- Parameter P14.03 - Main MTR NOM CUR
- Is the correct Main Motor CT transformer rating configured?
- Parameter P19.04.01 - Main MTR CT RTG
- It is of course possible that an actual overload is detected, in this case contact the compressor manufacturer.
4. Error code 'Main motor phase imbalance' E:0083 is displayed
- Is the 'main motor phase imbalance protection' correctly configured?
- Parameter P14.06 - Main MTR PH IMB
- The safety function can be turned off at your own risk.
- Set parameter P17.09 (Motor Phase IMB' to OFF.
- Consult the compressor manufacturer to inform about the phase imbalance.
5. Error code E:0084 'Main motor CT SENS' is displayed
- Is the wiring running from the main motor CT's to the controller valid?
- Is the detected main motor current (P19.04) less than 1/5 of the inserted P14.03 - Main MTR NOM current?
6. RTC error A:2836 (A real time clock error)
- Navigate to P10.15
- Insert the correct time
- confirm by pressing enter
- Reset the alarm by pressing the reset button.
8. Pressure and temperature sensors errors
- E:0006 - Ambient T°. Ambient temperature sensor
- E:0115 - EO PRESS sensor. Equipment outlet pressure sensor. Wiring error or faulty sensor
- E:0125 - PD TEMP SENS. Compressor outlet temperature sensor Wiring error or faulty sensor
- E:0135 - INT PRESS sensor. Internal pressure sensor. Wiring error or faulty sensor
- E:0145 - INT TEMP SENS. Internal temperature sensor. Wiring error or faulty sensor
- E:0155 - Dryer TEMP SENS. Dryer temperature sensor. Wiring error or faulty sensor
- E:0165 - Motor PTC SENS. Motor PTC sensor. Wiring error or faulty sensor
- Is the wiring from the sensor running to the controller valid?
- Consult the sensor manual and controller manual to learn how to correctly connect the sensor to the controller.
- Verify if the connected sensor is not faulty.
- Possibly connect a second (verified) sensor to test the validity of the analog input.
- Check if the analog input value makes sensor by navigating to the diagnostics manu on P.20
